Election Priorities
A New Focus
I believe that a new focus is needed in relation to local issues that affect all our lives. The main political parties have concentrated on national issues, and have in many ways, lost touch with people at local level. I believe that by running as an independent candidate in the local elections, I can offer a new focus. A focus which listens to the real needs of people at local level and brings their views to the political table.
A Better Future
I believe that as a nation we need to take a step back from the Celtic Tiger Culture, that has seen a growth in greed and an imbalance in the way the benefits were distributed among the population. We need to promote the values of community involvement, listening to the people, and engaging with local people in the promotion of a better future for our children and those most in need of our help.
